hi guys,

im thinking of making a mission alt for questor use, instead of using my main.

what would be the fastest an most efficient skill plan to follow when making an alt for questor?

drake -> tengu or drake -> raven -> cnr -> golem?

In that plan, you've not optimized your attributes, you haven't considered implants, and you're wasting like 7 days training Shield Comps to IV (they are shit for active tanks). I have a very, very similiar plan in EVEmon and, when you use attribute remaps/+4s, mine takes ~130 days, or 3/4 of a Power of 2 account.

Ok the shield comp skills arent really usefull, thats true. With +5 and attributes I would save about 18-20days. Not really getting near 130days :)

Would you mind showing me that plan you have via pm if you dont want to make it public?

you would be surprised at actually how little skills you need to fly a tengu in all lvl4s, granted all missile support wont be at 5 but it still does he job.

As pulsar said your would be surprised how few skill you actually need to do lvl4's in a tengu, apart from a necessary lvl5 skills needed to get into the tengu, you can get away with lvl3 and 4 skills! i know cos i have done it.

Also for the 35 days i would recommend getting hold of a cerebral accelerator, it only works for the first 35 days of a pilots life but if you train cybernetics to 4 plug some +4s in and the cerebral implant you will have +7 attributes for about 33 days, iv done that too :)

+1. My chars require exactly 110 days to put their arses into tengus, with +3 imps (at account creation moment I don't have enough money for +4), and this time also includes lots of social skills (two of them to perfect level). Of course, it requires to use both remaps; and of course, many of these skills are non-perfect at that moment - most at level IV, several even at level III (complicated ones like warhead upgrades, and secondary ones like activetanking skills, as tengu has powertank anyway). Still, by this time these are sufficient to tank L4 missions, and even non-perfect tengu is better than any [almost] perfect T1 ship, or even a navy ship.

Use your head (firstly), use remaps, use EFT to find acceptable fits for low skills, use money to buy faction modules to compensate crap skills, and so on. It sucks to be a perfectionist when you bot in Eve, and none of your chars live for longer than halfyear. OTOH, if you don't plan to RMT, you can permit yourself to be a perfectionist, of course... as ccp pricks don't ban just for botting.

Nah I dont plan to do RMT, I just wanna stop botting with my main (did it because of boredom) and have an alt doing the job, just to have ISK to blow up things.

About the power of two thing, is this still avaiable? Cant find it inside my account management, just the 60day trial and normal friend invite.

Then just care less, take the list above, throw away cloaking from it (dunno what does it do here - Questor can't turn on cloaking devices anyway), add about a month of training socials on top of that, and your get a decent T2 tengu for L4 in 5 months. There is no hurry for you, unlike for RMTers...

so, gray, do you usually go caracal -> drake before you go for a tengu to get some income?

Sorry, I won't reveal any detailed info that could reveal my chars to ccp (as they might read this forum). As I've said, use your head, use eft and evemon. Take the above list as an example, throw two completely useless skills from it (again, use eft to see which skills are useless); then go through complete list of eve skills and add some 5-10 inportant skills that are missing in this list. Then try to move down in the list skills which don't really affect dps, and let you have at least 200 sustained defence against omnidamage. That's not really enough, but still possible to run L4's in a tengu already. Trust me, it IS possible to pack the resulting list in 110 days, socials included.

I'd recommend running L3s, indeed. Incoming damage is so shitty there, so an 11-day old char is already capable to blitz them and gain some lp/bounty/reward. My new farm, for example, is already up and running, and even makes quite a few billions to pay feature bounties.

Since when tengu needs drones, even at L4 missions? It doesn't even have a drone bay. Since when ANY BC can't survive w/o drones at L3?

11/110-day plans include almost the shortest way to tengu, plus an absolute minimum of through-passage skills needed to agentrun with at least some success before you manage to put your arse into a tengu. No drones, no anything that can be ignored.

Going 100% basic with my plan, including curtailing some skills that should really be trained to 5, I can get into a Tengu in 110 days, and be a proficient character in 130, amazing and perfect at 200.

edit: and cutting out anything that you don't explicitly need to fly a Tengu, you can get it down to 60 days. Keep in mind, this lets you use all T2 mods, but your tank will be absolute trash.
